Fly Your Flag

A A A

The Bridge of Nations is a local landmark celebrating our city’s ethnic diversity and commitment to peace and unity.

Bridge of Nations

On Canada Day, 2007, members of the community gathered as the first flags were raised on the Bridge of Nations, forever changing the landscape of Greater Sudbury.

Today, the flags of 87 countries and nations fly over this landmark in downtown Sudbury, representing the cultural mosaic that makes up our community.

The idea to create a Bridge of Nations was inspired by local volunteers Ursula Sauve, Dan Lee and Colin Firth and supported by like-minded community members.

See a list of countries and nations with flags on the Bridge of Nations.

Groups are welcome to fundraise to fly a flag that celebrates their history and culture. Please submit applications to [email protected]
